1. Eligibility: The competition is open to all persons who are legally qualified to own a handgun in the United States.
2. Qualification Course: Modified military pistol qualification course consisting of three stages:
- Slow Fire: 10 rounds in 3 minutes at 20 yards.
- Timed Fire: 10 rounds in 30 seconds at 15 yards.
- Rapid Fire: 10 rounds in 15 seconds at 10 yards.
3. Equipment Guidelines:
- Contestants provide their own firearm and ammunition (center fire or rim fire; revolver or semi-automatic).
- Contestants must use the same firearm for all three stages.
- NO OPTICS PERMITTED: All optics (red dots, scopes) must be removed prior to competition. Iron sights only.
- Eye and ear protection mandatory (rentals available at XCAL).
4. Range Command & Scoring: Supervised by certified XCAL Range Masters. One lane per competitor. Max 100 points per stage (300 max total). Ties resolved by continuous courses of rapid fire at 20 yards on Dec 3rd at 5:00 PM.
5. Prizes: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Prize trophies, plus a $25 bonus awarded for a perfect 300 score.
